Expanding the TPM series tantalum multi-anode chip capacitors is a 2,200 mF capacitor exhibiting an ESR 18 milliOhms that claims to significantly reduce component counts to just three capacitors in processor applications. The TPM tantalum capacitors employ a second electrode system to offer long-term stability, making them viable for use in middle and longer-lifetime devices such as telecommunication boards for base stations or networking infrastructure applications. The TPM series capacitors are available with voltage ratings up to 50 Vdc and with capacitances ranging from 10 mF to 2,200 mF. Available in an E (7343) case size, pricing for the TPM 2,200 mF starts at $3 each. AVX CORP., Myrtle Beach, SC. (843) 448-9411.
