The TMS320C55x power optimization starter kit, designed for evaluating C55x DSPs, provides a comprehensive set of power-estimation and measurement tools including USB-based measurement hardware for power monitoring. Briefly, the kit allows developers to plan, analyze, manage, and optimize real-time power consumption. It includes power-planning tools, Code Composer Studio IDE v3.1 DSK tools, DSP/BIOS kernel v5.20 software with Power Manager, power scaling libraries, National Instruments' Power Analyzer hardware and software, and a C5509A-based target board with emulation and support libraries from Spectrum Digital.
