Super VGA Graphics Controller Takes Aim At cPCI Apps

Aug. 1, 1999

Based on the advanced architecture of a high-performance multimedia CRT graphical user interface (GUI) accelerator, the CPCI-VGA-1 3U Super VGA graphics controller is well-suited for adding a high resolution CRT-based interface or multimedia features to CompactPCI embedded systems. In addition to employing a Chips and Technologies 65554 HiQV64 accelerator, the board also contains 2 Mbytes of 64-bit-wide video memory supporting CRT display resolutions up to 1024 x 768 with 65k colors. A 15-pin VGA connector mounted to the front panel is provided for directly interfacing to video systems. For embedded expansion, an extensive library of high-performance, 14- to 16-bit data acquisition and DSP products, cPCI chassis, operating systems, and programming tools and accessories are available.
