Analog Devices’ Highly Integrated Synchronous Regulator Reduces Board Space and Enables Highly Efficient Power Management

Analog Deviceshas introduced the ADP2164, a 6.5-V, 4-A output dc/dc regulator featuring a conversion efficiency of greater than 96 percent. The highly integrated device offers an input voltage supply range of 2.7 V to 6.5 V, an output range as low as 0.6 V and includes low on-resistance switching FETs to maximize efficiency while reducing board space. It comes in a compact 4-mm x 4-mm QFN 16-lead package. This new regulator is designed for multi-rail, point-of-load applications ranging from communication infrastructure to industrial devices that demand small size, fast transient performance and highly accurate voltage regulation. The ADP2164 is available now at a price of $1.66 each/1000.
