The PXI-3800 is a 3U-size Pentium M system controller for high-performance test and measurement applications. The board uses the Intel 855GME Graphics Memory Controller Hub and 6300ESB I/O Controller Hub. It supports a wide range of CPUs, including the Pentium M 1.1/1.6 GHz with 1-Mbyte L2 cache and Pentium M 745 (1.8 GHz) with 2-Mbyte cache. A front-panel trigger I/O accommodates advanced PXI trigger functions. The high-performance PCI-X bus provides true gigabit Ethernet communications on board. The 6300ESB also integrates a 32-bit/33-MHz CompactPCI bus, four USB 2.0 ports, two COM ports, an integrated-development-environment interface, and a two-stage watchdog timer. The PXI-3800, from stock, costs $3200. OEM volume discounts are available.
