Debuting as the market’s smallest 40A, high-temperature-grade automotive printed-circuit board relay, the FBR53-HW measures 15.5 mm x 12.2 mm x 13.7mm and weighs 6g. Applicable for use in automotive, commercial and recreational vehicles, the component is a 1 Form U (Form A) relay with a contact rating of 14 Vdc and 40A under a resistive load with both contacts connected. It can handle a maximum 80A inrush and specifies an operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C degrees. Other features include a contact resistance of 1.2 milliOhms average at 7A/12 Vdc, mechanical life expectancy of 10 million operations, and an electrical life of 100,000 operations. The relay series comes in standard coil voltages of 9, 10, and 12 Vdc with 0.86W coil power. Pricing is $3.50 each/10,000. FUJITSU COMPONENTS AMERICA INC., Sunnyvale, CA. (800) 380-0059.
