Version 6 of DIAdem combines the reliability of Windows NT with the "real-time" timing behavior that's essential for acquiring data or controlling test rigs. It's an easy-to-use, icon-based data acquisition and control tool that also performs analysis and report generation without need for programming.Depending on the speed performance required in a given application, the software offers "soft" and "hard" real-time functionality. Both can be implemented with a wide range of PC plug-in boards with no modifications to the Windows NT environment. For most applications, "soft" real-time operation with its reaction time of a few milliseconds is sufficient. For those requiring more speed, a low-cost timer plug-in board is available to accomplish real-time control with response time of a few microseconds- still using standard data acquisition boards.
