A new high-speed ultrasonic sensor has been developed for use in short ranges of 2" to 6". The RPS400-6 sensor measures .75" x 2.00" x 1.5", making it useful in tight locations. It comes standard with background suppression and is not affected by changes in target color or material. The sensor can detect clear objects and is capable of detecting vibrating or tilting targets. A response time of 2.1 ms and an operating frequency of 300 kHz make the RPS-400-6 a repeatable and accurate high-speed sensor. It can operate in dusty environments, and is therefore useful for rugged conveyors, high-speed counting, and pc board handling equipment. A 6’ cable comes standard. MIGATRON CORP., Woodstock, IL.
