Armed with a Freescale PowerPC MPC7448 processor and 1 GB of DDR SDRAM, the EP2A 6U VME single-board computer is ready for military embedded computing applications. The board also includes the latest Marvell Discovery V integrated system controller and offers a unique I/O set with four HDLC-capable serial ports, Gigabit Ethernet, USB, GPIO, two PMC sites, and the company's unique Additional Flexible Interface Xtension (AFIX) card site. AFIX cards are available that support dual MIL-STD-1553B interfaces, SCSI, graphics, flash memory modules, and user-specific versions. Available in five air- and conduction-cooled environmental levels, the EP2A is fully supported via deployed test software (BIT and BCS) and BSPs for VxWorks, LynxOS, and Integrity operating systems.
