WAN Software Targets CompactPCI Platforms

For firm's CPC340 WAN Communications Adapter 6U four-port synchronous I/O controller and its CPC334 3U four-port synchronous I/O controller, this firm announces introduction of a full suite of WAN protocols for these cPCI products. The cPCI boards are based on Motorola's MC68360 QUICC processor and offer v.35, RS-422 and RS-232 line interfaces and provide extensive processing power for on-board execution of WAN protocols or applications. Both boards have 4 MB of shared DRAM and are capable of 2 Mbps full duplex line speed simultaneously on all ports. Both models have front or rear panel I/O configurations, while the CPC340 6U rear I/O product offers a passive rear transition module.
