A new family of pc board terminal blocks employing space-saving screw and spring technologies in 5.0- and 3.5-mm pin spacing designs has been developed for use in building automation applications, such as security, alarm and fire protection systems and access control and lighting equipment. The Combicon Compact family is available in horizontal or vertical orientation styles and in one-piece or pin-strip pluggable pc board mounting versions. The PT series is a modular, wire protector style screw terminal block that features generous wire entry space. The series also comes in a pluggable version that can mate both vertically and horizontally and includes optional PCB coding. The CPT 1 series is a spring technology alternative to screw terminal blocks designed to reduce installation costs. With two termination points per circuit, CPT wire terminators can accommodate #20-16 AWG solid or stranded wires. The PTSA spring force terminal block has been designed for lighting ballast applications. It terminates up to #16 AWG wires in 2-24 positions on 3.5 mm pin spacing and is UL/cUL recognized for 300V at 2A. PHOENIX CONTACT INC., Harrisburg, PA. (800) 322-3225.
