10 And 20 dB Directional Couplers Are Pico Sized

March 1, 2003
A new family of pico sized directional couplers have been developed in the Xinger-brand package style. The new 10 and 20 dB units are particularly suited to today’s increasingly small power amplifiers, as they measure only 0.2" x 0.25" x 0.065".

A new family of pico sized directional couplers have been developed in the Xinger-brand package style. The new 10 and 20 dB units are particularly suited to today’s increasingly small power amplifiers, as they measure only 0.2" x 0.25" x 0.065". With these couplers, the company has achieved the performance of its Xinger-brand couplers in a tape-and-reel format and package size that renders them a competitive alternative to other ceramic directional couplers. The 10 and 20 dB couplers feature frequency levels of 1.7-2.0, 2.0-2.3, and 2.3-2.7 GHz, power handling up to 20W, and tightly controlled coupling at ±0.75 dB.
