Reported as the industry's first single-chip ADSL router, the highly integrated CX82310 includes all of the hardware functions of a ARM-based network processor, ADSL discrete multi-tone (DMT) engine, analog front end (AFE), and line driver. The device is compliant with full-rate ADSL and splitterless G.lite standards and supports USB and 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet. Data transfer rates are 8 Mb/s downstream and 1 Mb/s upstream. Other features include a 16-bit wide, parallel expansion bus that can provide an interface to a PCMCIA 802.11b wireless system or for interfacing to a V.92/V.90 backup system.
