Handling ASK data in the 300 MHz to 450 MHz range, the MAX7034 super-heterodyne receiver integrates an LNA, image-rejection mixer, self-contained PLL block, a 10.7-MHz IF filter with RSSI, and analog, baseband data-recovery circuitry. To ensure a receive sensitivity of -114 dBm in automotive and consumer applications, the device specifies an operating temperature range from -40ºC to +125ºC. With an image-rejection spec of 44 dB, its image-rejection mixer is settable to 315MHz, 375MHz, or 433MHz. The MAX7034 operates from a single 5V supply and draws less than 3 mA in shutdown mode and 6.7 mA in receive mode. Available in a 28-pin TSSOP, prices start at $2.50 each/1,000.
