Defined as a stand-alone FlexRay communication controller, the CIC-310 teams with the company's TC1796 and TC1766 32-bit microcontrollers for the development of a FlexRay bus system in vehicles early in the design stage. Based on the company's Micro Link Interface and standard serial and parallel interfaces, the device can pair with most automotive microcontrollers or microprocessor architectures on the market. The CIC-310 is available for sampling now in a 64-pin, green lead-free TQFP with an operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C. Volume production is expected in August and price is approximately $ 5.40 each/10,000. INFINEON TECHNOLOGIES, Milpitas, CA. (866) 951-9519.
