2008 International CES, Las Vegas - Soon to be available to select customers, the company's latest transmitter/receiver chipsets claim place as the industry's first WirelessHD chipsets. The SB9120 network processor and the SB9110 RF transceiver act as the transmitter for DVD players, set-top-boxes, and media center PCs while the SB9121 network processor and the SB9111 transceiver chipset perform as the receiver for digital televisions and front projectors. The chipsets also claim to be the first to deliver true, lossless uncompressed A/V at 1080p. The 60 GHz band offers the spectral availability for true uncompressed HD video, audio, and data transmission, all scalable to future HD A/V formats. Transmitter/receiver chipsets employ Omnilink60 advanced adaptive beam-forming systems that dynamically steer content to the specific receiving station, maintaining connectivity regardless of any obstacles. Additionally, Omnilink60’s high-speed micro array antennas promise efficient use of power for better reception and longer distance at a higher bandwidth. For speedy deployment, the SK9110TXRX WirelessHD Development Kit is also available. SIBEAM INC., Sunnyvale, CA. (408) 245-3120.
