Enhancing the company's lineup of CPU peripheral ICs, the uPD65881GB-P0x series includes a USART, programmable timer/counter, and a parallel interface unit for standard applications such as computers, office equipment, communications equipment, test and measurement equipment, and home appliances. Based on the company's 0.5-micron CMOS process, the devices are functionally compatible with the uPD7105x and uPD825x support chips, providing users with an easy migration path, a stable supply source, and long-term product support. The devices operate from a 5V supply and are available in 44-pin QFPs. All meet current RoHS regulations and operate over an industrial temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
