Dual Directional Coupler Offers 10 dB Over Ultra-Broadband

Nov. 5, 2013
10 dB of coupling over the ultra-broadband frequency range of 0.5 to 8.0 GHz in compact and lightweight package

The Model 500508010, a new addition to KRYTAR’s line of dual directional couplers, offers 10 dB of coupling over the ultra-broadband frequency range of 0.5 to 8.0 GHz, in a single, compact and lightweight package. The couplers are uniquely designed for systems applications where external leveling, precise monitoring, signal mixing or swept transmission and reflection measurements are required. Targeting broadband electronic warfare and commercial wireless systems, the dual directional couplers are also used in signal monitoring and measurement, antenna beam forming, cable distributed systems, military and EMC testing environments. The multi-purpose, stripline designed coupler, with an operating temperature range of -54°C to 85°C, exhibits Insertion Loss (including coupled power) of less than 2.3 dB, Directivity of >15 dB, Maximum VSWR (any port) of 1.35, and Input Power Rating is 20 W average and 3 kW peak. The Model 500508010 dual directional coupler comes with industry-standard 2.4-mm SMA female connectors (Type N female connectors are available as options). The compact package measures 10.50˝ (L) x 0.53˝ (W) x 0.72˝ (H), and weighs 7.0 oz.
