LAN83C180 Fast Ethernet Physical Layer Interface is a single-chip 10/100 Mbps Ethernet physical layer solution that integrates a 10/100 Mbps transceiver with the physical signaling and physical coding sublayers to implement all the required functions between the line isolation magnetics and the Ethernet media access controller (MAC). The device connects the MAC via a standard MII interface. Compatible with firm's MACs, the device completes a set that provides a cost-effective Fast Ethernet link using just two chips.
