The THS60xx line driver family and OPA2822 line receiver decrease the overall noise floor of the downstream signal, leading to improved data rates and wider service area for ADSL modem deployments. The devices target PC external and internal modems, residential gateways and other systems used for high-speed ADSL. Key specs of each product include the following: the THS6042/43 offer 350 mA output drive, operate over a ± 5V to ± 15V supply range, and deliver 13 dBm output power to the telephone line. The THS6052/53 offer 175 mA output drive, operate over a ±5V to ±15V supply range, and are ideal for shorter loop ADSL CPE applications. The THS6092/93 offer 275 mA output drive, operate over a +5V to +14V range, and deliver 13 dBm output power to the telephone line. The OPA2822 operates on a 4.8 mA/channel supply current and can satisfy DSL receiver requirements. The THS60xx family comes in 8-lead SOIC, 8-lead SOIC PowerPAD, 14-lead TSSOP PowerPAD, and 14-pin SOIC packages and cost $2.29 to $2.85 each/1,000. The OPA2822 is packaged in 8-lead SOICs and 8-lead MSOPs and is priced from $2.19 each/1,000.
