Mezzanine Board Links Myriad RF To Multiple FPGA Platforms

Twin-standard mezzanine board supports both DE0-Nano and FMC FPGA interfaces, enabling it to link the majority of field programmable RF boards, with both Xylinx and Altera FPGA developer kits.

The ESO-001 multi-carrier FPGA connector board, a joint development between field programmable RF chip developer Lime Microsystems, distributor Azio Electronics and FPGA system designers E-Elements, is designed for field programmable RF transceiver systems. The twin-standard mezzanine board supports both DE0-Nano and FMC FPGA interfaces, enabling it to link the majority of field programmable RF boards, including the Myriad RF development platform, with both Xylinx and Altera FPGA developer kits. The board enables wireless networks of almost any size and complexity to be created on any mobile standard or frequency. With integrated USB functionality also included, the board is able to connect straight to a PC or Raspberry Pi, with the PC itself acting as the baseband. The ESO-001 FPGA connector board is priced at $199, and when combined with a low cost platform, such as Myriad RF ($299), it creates a professional grade RF development platform capable of developing networks of almost any complexity.
