Additions to the company’s family of SFP+ optical transceiver modules for next-generation 10Gbps Ethernet equipment designs include a 1,310 nm LRM multimode fiber transceiver, and transceivers for both LR single-mode fiber and SR multimode fiber applications with extended temperature capability for enterprise and data center applications. The AFBR-707SDZ 10Gb SPF+ LRM transceiver module integrates a 1,310 nm FP laser and PIN detector technology to provide an IEEE 10Gb Ethernet design that’s compliant with the 10GBASE-LRM standard. The transceiver enables reuse of installed legacy multimode fiber cables to preserve end user cabling infrastructure. Other features include a typical power dissipation of 0.8W and a digital diagnostic management interface. The AFCT-701ASDZ 10 Gb/s SFP+ LR optical transceiver offers an extended temperature range from 0?C to +85?C and operates over single-mode fiber at distances up to 10 km in compliance with the optical interface specifications per IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-LR. Power dissipation is less than 1W. The extended temperature AFBR-703ASDZ SFP+ SR transceiver employs an 850-nm VCSEL and PIN Detector technology to provide an IEEE 10Gb Ethernet design that complies with the 10GBASE-SR standard. Pricing for the AFBR-707SDZ, AFCT-701SDZ/ASDZ, and AFBR-703SDZ/ASDZ 10Gb SFP+ optical transceivers are $370, $380/$430, and $250/$300 each/10, respectively. Samples are available now with general availability by the end of April. AVAGO TECHNOLOGIES, San Jose, CA. (877) 673-9442.
