Created for the manufacture of analog and digital ICs required by communication systems transmitting data at speeds in excess of 40 Gb/s, the company's process technology is based on an InP heterojunction bipolar transistors. The 1-µm process is being tapped to manufacture physical-layer ICs for SONET OC-768 applications and circuitry for 10 Gb/s systems that use RZ-encoded data.
