Unveiled as the industryÕs first RF IC that measures modulated-waveform power found in next-generation 3G infrastructure equipment, the AD8362 rms detector IC with a linear input and dB output measures up to 2.7 Ghz over a 60 dB range. The device has a measurement range from -45 dBm to +15 dBm within a 50½ system and provides a 50 mV/dB output-voltage scaling.Operating on a single 5V supply and consuming just 19 mA of quiescent current, the IC operates over a temperature range from -45¡C to +85¡C. Other integrated functions include error correction and a precision bias circuit. Available in a 16-lead TSSOP, price is $6.25 each/1,000.
