Performing electrical safety testing on medical instruments, the Guardian 6100 is capable of sequencing up to nine different safety tests in accordance with applicable UL, CSA, and IEC standards without changing connections to the device under test. Test features include ac hipot from 50V to 5 kV, dc hipot from 50V to 6 kV, insulation resistance from 100 kilohms to 50 Gohms, ground bond to 30A, and leakage-current measurements from 0.1 µA to 9.999 mA. Leakage tests include earth, enclosure, patient, and patient-auxiliary leakage. The instrument also monitors power consumption including line voltage or current. Including test leads, an adapter for 115V products, and a NIST-traceable calibration certificate, price is $8,995. QUADTECH INC., Maynard, MA. (800) 253-1230.
