Designed for GSM/DCS/PCS/EDGE, iDEN, PHS, and 3G systems, the MAX9993 SiGe mixer delivers an IIP3 of 23.5 dB, a conversion gain of 8.5 dB, and a noise figure of 9.5 dB. The device exhibits an IIP2 performance of greater than 60 dBm and integrates RF and LO baluns and built-in matching circuits to interface to 50 ohms terminations. Frequency hopping is supported with an integrated LO switch with switching speeds of less than 50 ns and greater than 40 dB of LO1-to-LO2 isolation. The LO buffer provides drive-variance control, which results in consistent G, NF, and IIP3 performance over temperature, supply voltage, and input power. Available in a 5 mm x 5 mm, 20-pin thin QFN package, prices start at $11.95 each/ 1,000. For further information, call MAXIM INTEGRATED PRODUCTS, Sunnyvale, CA. (800) 998-8800.
