Designed for space applications, the new Iso-Switch addresses insertion loss, weight and size limitation issues. This integrated assembly of an electromechanical RF switch and isolator performs a redundancy function in an LNA RF circuit. By combining the switch and isolator into one unit, RF parameters are claimed to be improved over individual devices as well as saving weight and space. The Iso-Switch (249D909000) weighs 114g and sizes up at 58 cm3. With a frequency range of DC to 26 GHz, the product's bandwidth is limited by the isolator and can be optimized for other frequency ranges.
