Transceiver Boasts Smallest Footprint, Lowest Power

The ACT4419D, a 5V dual-variable amplitude transceiver that meets the requirements of MIL-STD-1553 and -1760, is claimed to have the smallest footprint and consume the lowest standby power (250 mW) in the industry. The device measures 0.3" x 1.2" and comes in a 20-pin DIP.
DC voltage from 0V to +5V at 1 mA controls the transceiver output from 0 to full amplitude with typically less than 0.5% linearity. The waveform integrity at MIL-STD-1553 threshold of 1.2Vp-p is maintained. These features, it's claimed, provide 1553 test-card manufacturers the ability to perform a more accurate measurement than was previously attainable.
Both commercial temperature and full military versions of the transceiver are available, with the device costing $375 each/100.
