Operating in the 315-, 345-, 433-, 868-, and 915-MHz bands, the ATA542x transceiver family forecasts a 20% reduction in power consumption and 30% fewer passive components when compared to similar multi-channel devices. The chip integrates an image-rejection mixer and Rx/Tx switch, eliminating the need for a SAW filter and an external switch, respectively. It employs a low-IF architecture, which also eradicates the necessity for an external IF filter. Other features include a SPI port, data rates up to 40 kb/s, bit checking in receive mode, 16-byte data buffer in Rx/Tx modes, RSSI, and a 4-MHz clock output. Pricing starts at $1.80 each in volume.
