Claiming benchmarks for integration, the USB332x USB 2.0 transceiver family lays claim to being the industry's smallest. Challenging existing USB transceiver technology, the devices integrate components normally found outside the chip into one wafer-level chip scale package measuring 1.95 mm x 1.95 mm. Each member of the family features VBus protection up to +30V and ESD protection up to ±15 kV based on the IEC air discharge standard. Additionally, the devices integrate an analog USB switch. Other features include ULPI 1.0/1.1 compliance, support for 12-, 13-, 19.2-, 24-, 26-, 27-, 38.4-, and 52-MHz reference clocks, an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, and support for device, host, and OTG functionality.
