The USB D+ and D- data lines of the MAX3450E, MAX3451E and MAX3452E USB transceivers are ±15 kV protected as per the human body model, eliminating the need for external protection circuitry. The devices are compliant with USB specs revision 1.1

The USB D+ and D- data lines of the MAX3450E, MAX3451E and MAX3452E USB transceivers are ±15 kV protected as per the human body model, eliminating the need for external protection circuitry. The devices are compliant with USB specs revision 1.1 and 2.0 and operate at 1.5 or 12 Mb/s. And they include a low-power suspend mode, the ability to work with ASICs that operate down to 1.65V, and an operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C. MAX3451E includes a 1.5 kilohms pull-up resistor and an input for software control of USB enumeration. MAX3452E detects the availability of VBUS and provides a logic-level output to the ASIC/CPU. For both MAX3450E and MAX3451E, VBUS can derive power from the USB host, directly from a Li+ battery, or from a 3.3V supply. A 4V to 5.5V supply provided by the USB host powers MAX3452E.
