Murata Power Solutions’ MEJ1 series of isolated 1-W dc-dc converters, certified to a 200-V rms continuous working voltage when operating in maximum +85°C ambient, complies with the third edition of medical safety standard UL60601-1

Murata Power Solutions’ MEJ1 series of isolated 1-W dc-dc converters, certified to a 200-V rms continuous working voltage when operating in maximum +85°C ambient, complies with the third edition of medical safety standard UL60601-1. The series also offers basic and supplementary isolation to the UL60950 standard. Input to output isolation is rated at 5200 V dc for 1 second. The device provides 2 means of operator protection (MOOP) based upon a working voltage of 200 V rms max. and 280 V pk max., between primary and secondary. It also delivers 1 MOOP based upon a working voltage of 200 V rms max., between primary and its enclosure. The series contains 38 models altogether, offering both single- and dual-output versions. Single-output models have 3.3, 5, 9, 12, or 15 VOUT. Dual versions maintain both positive and negative outputs. The whole range accommodates 5, 12, 15, or 24 VIN (single-output models also have a 3.3-VIN option).
