3D/2D Input Device Targets Digital And Physical Environments

The company claims that it has developed the industry's first sensor-based input device/motioncontroller for the desktop. The device, the ErgoPoint 3D, combines three-dimensional control in digital and physical environments with universal software compatibility. It allows intuitive and precise manipulation of up to four independent 3-D points or states in six-degrees-of-freedom. Proprietary middleware ensures universal compatibility with any commercial 3D CAD, 3D rendering, or virtual reality software running on Windows 95/98/ 2000/NT and UNIX platforms. It connects to the host system via a standard nine-pin serial port.
