The PowerHub, a high-powered, zero-backlash, brushless robotic actuator, features a hollow shaft that can accommodate vacuum lines and wires to be run through its center to external devices. It is claimed to have the same compactness, configuration and performance of a direct drive and the low-cost and controllability of a geared actuator. The device is available in three sizes--50W, 100W and 200W--and offers sub arc-minute accuracy.
