Models in the L series of low-voltage analog switches and multiplexers are designed to be pin- and function-compatible companions to higher-voltage CMOS industry-standard analog switches and multiplexers. Their typical on-time is just 20 ns. They boast a −71-dB off-isolation performance at 50 MHz, virtually eliminating crosstalk. Maximum on-resistance is now 29 Ω, compared to the previous generation's 100 Ω. Transition time has also been cut from 160 to 30 ns, and turn-on time has dropped from 115 ns to 38 ns. Their off-isolation is −70 dB at 1 MHz.
The series includes five monolithic quad SPST analog switches, two single SPST analog switches, a single SPDT analog switch, and two precision analog multiplexers. They're specified for 2.7- to 12-V single supplies or ±3- or ±6-V dual-supply operation. They also provide a simple logic interface, break-before-make switching action, ESD protection to 2000 V, and narrow-body SOIC or TSSOP-16 packaging. Pricing starts at less than $0.59 each in 100,000-piece quantities. rg
