Described as the world’s smallest leaded, gas-filled dual-electrode arrester, the G3 sports a length of 3.5 mm and a diameter of 2.8 mm. The G3 arrester series is available with response voltages ranging from 75 to 600 Vdc. In lieu of its size, the component withstands surge currents up to 2 kA with 8-/20-µs ripple figures and features an insulation resistance in excess of 1 GigaOhms. Parasitic capacitance is less than 0.5 pF at 1 MHz, making it suitable for use in data and telecommunications applications. Pricing starts at $0.26 each/1,000.
