Designed to house and protect sensitive IR semiconductors from the external environment while maintaining an optimal cryogenic operating temperature, the Dewar assemblies use the company's ceramic-to-metal seal assembly technology. These assemblies are constructed using a 95% minimum alumina insulator, claimed to have superior strength and electrical properties than glass and glass ceramic insulators. Manufactured using high-temperature braze material (780°C melting point), all assemblies are 100% leak tested with helium. They are also shock and vibration resistant.
