Expanding the company's line of air transport rack (ATR) enclosures, the ATR TL long-and-tall enclosure reports a number of unique features. For example, to address harsh environments, the unit contains a military-grade Ametek Rotron fan that delivers over 15 cfm per slot at altitudes over 35,000’ and at operating temperatures from -55°C to 85°C. It also provides greater front I/O capability than other ATR enclosures with a bottom patch-panel that gives access to the P2 section of the backplane. Similar to the Short ATR, the enclosure accommodates seven-slot VME and VME64x backplanes or other backplanes in the 6U x 160 mm card cage and power supplies up to 500W with 28 Vdc input or optional ac input. Other features include air baffles to redirect and maximize airflow through the cards. ELMA ELECTRONIC INC., Fremont, CA. (510) 656-3400.
