A new line of PolySwitch circuit protection devices from Tyco are functionally equivalent to the company’s existing RXEF devices but are available in a smaller form factor. Key device parameters for the PolySwitch RKEF series include hold-current ratings of 0.50 A to 5 A and trip-current ratings of 1 A to 10 A. All devices have a maximum operating voltage rating of 60 V and can operate at up to 85°C. The RKEF overcurrent devices are designed for use in a variety of products ranging from industrial controls to battery packs. The devices are through-hole construction, and many of the radial-leaded devices have the same lead spacing as the RXEF devices. They are available in tape-and-reel packaging.
