Using a patented magnetoresistive technology, the M-GAGE S18M vehicle-detection sensor reliably detects 3D changes in the Earth's natural magnetic field. A large metal (ferromagnetic) object such as a car or truck introduced into the Earth's magnetic field would cause the sensor's output to switch. No external controller is required, The unit is completely self-contained. It also uses pushbutton programming. The molded housing consists of an ABS/polycarbonate blend. Operating temperature ranges from −40 °C to 70 °C. And, the sensor meets IP67 and NEMA 6P environmental ratings. Pricing starts at $209 each.
