A highly visible laser spot with a fixed sensing area optimized at 4" allows the firm's convergent beam version of its 7700, Class 2 laser sensor to accurately detect objects of any color at 4" with a background cutoff of approximately 1/2 inch. The new model finds application in a wide range of industries, including the machine-tool industry where is it vital to detect small targets such as drill bits without fear of different backgrounds tripping the sensor. The visible red laser beam is powerful and may be adjusted to ignore foreground mists or other stray influences. The unit has dual outputs and power is user adjustable. Pricing for the sensor is $175 each.
