A unique device form Diodes promises enhanced robustness and advanced protection for the USB interface in a plethora of applications, particularly where heavy capacitive loads and short-circuits are possible. The AP2337 is suitable for use in desktops, servers, laptops, monitors, network routers, and home entertainment equipment such as high-definition set-top boxes and flat-screen HDTVs. Compliant with USB 2.0 and 3.0 standards, the AP2337 1A single-channel integrated high-side power switch is optimized for both self-powered and bus-powered applications. Protection capabilities include a short-circuit response time of 5 µs, output-discharge functionality, an on-resistance of 110 mΩ over 1A continuous load, and output over-voltage protection.
