Seeking use in line voltage applications, the LVR series of resettable devices have a voltage rating of 240 Vac and allow for maximum voltages up to 265 Vac. They have hold current ratings of from 50 to 400 mA, with these polymeric positive temperature coefficient devices designed to help protect against conditions that cause a rise in temperature where only a slight increase in current occurs. Employing a single device near heat-generating components provides both overcurrent and overtemperature protection. The circuit protectors are UL and TUV certified, with CSA approval pending, and are available in straight-lead or kinked-lead configurations. RAYCHEM CIRCUIT PROTECTION, Menlo Park, CA.
