Cambridge, England: At the recent 3GSM World Congress, staged in Barcelona, Spain, ARM announced that Renesas Technology has licensed the highperformance, low-power ARM1176JZF-S processor for the development of a number of advanced mobile and consumer electronics applications.

The processor features ARM’s TrustZone technology, which supports computing environments that enable protection of critical system functions for downloaded applications, copyright protection of downloaded media, and safe over-the-air upgrades.
