The compact GS101202 Geartooth Speed Sensor offers zero-speed sensing and self-adjusting capabilities. The sensor module utilizes a sophisticated Hall Effect IC and internal biasing magnet to sense rotational speed of ferrous gear-type targets, such as web speed gears, power transmission gears, roller-chains, sprockets and bolt heads.
Sensor's rugged construction and immunity to dirt, grease and oil make it well suited for OEM applications in transmission, braking and electronic fuel injection systems. As a gear-type rotates, the sensor's integrated logic recognizes changes in flux density caused by the presence or absence of ferrous material. Pricing is $19.85 each/250.
