The latest tool to be launched by the company's Design Center is the heat exchanger selector. The selector allows the engineer to enter the dimensions of an enclosure in addition to the heat load, ambient temperature, and desired cabinet temperature. The tool then provides a variety of system level cooling options to meet the target cabinet temperature. Engineers can then select from the menu of prescribed options to see how the various heat exchangers would perform in their enclosure. A heat exchanger Design Tutorial is linked to the first page and gives engineers an overview of the inputs, as well as other useful tips. The program was designed for engineers by engineers and has been widely used by the company's application engineers for several years. Then the company realized that any design engineer could benefit from its use, and decided to make the tool available for free at their web site.
