A line of rack-mounted heat pipe cooling devices are reported to be easily inserted into 1U- and 2U-sized electronic equipment cabinets. Designated as the EECH series, the devices conduct heat from the racks to a plenum having ambient cooling air.

A line of rack-mounted heat pipe cooling devices are reported to be easily inserted into 1U- and 2U-sized electronic equipment cabinets. Designated as the EECH series, the devices conduct heat from the racks to a plenum having ambient cooling air. Capacities are up to 1,500W and, with the heat pipe properly installed, cabinet re-circulation air is totally sealed from the cooling air in order to protect the electronics from ambient humidity, dust, and other contaminates. These exchangers come with a variety of long-life, DC-powered fans and control options.
