The TN9 IR infrared (IR) temperature sensor module performs non-contact surface-temperature measurements from -33°C to +220°C. The module features adjustable emissivity and, operating over an ambient temperature range of -10°C to 50°C, delivers a NIST-traceable accuracy of ±2%, or 2°C, with a resolution of 0.0625°C. It comes standard with 1:1 optics and outputs a serial data stream providing target and ambient temperatures. Fitting just about anywhere, the unit measures 1.5" long, 0.5" wide, and weighs 9g. A development kit is available that includes an LCD and a serial port. Price for the TN9 is $30, and the development kit costs $250.
