Designed to function as level switches in sanitary process piping or vessels, these enhanced solid-state level detectors are claimed to be virtually unaffected by spurious moisture. These optoelectronic liquid level sensors resist false triggering from clinging droplets and, functionally, use a low powered infrared light source to detect changes in refractive index at the sensor's prismatic tip. Consequently, both conductive and non-conductive fluids such as deionized water, can be sensed. No electronics are ever in contact with the process fluid. Sanitary sensors are available in a variety of common DC input voltages, output configurations, Tri-Clover fitting sizes, materials and probe lengths. Choice of output types includes analog current level, high/low voltage level, or a robust 300 mA open collector transistor output. All are available in 'ON' when wet or 'OFF' when wet configurations, with or without built-in time delays. All of the plastic bodied models provide inherent, crevice-free, one-piece construction. Working temperature range is -40°C to +125°C, with pressure ratings from vacuum to 150 psi.
