A new DIN rail mount miniature circuit breaker has been designed with current ratings from 0.5A to 25A in 0.5A increments. The device, called the Model QL, is a hydraulic magnetic circuit breaker and thus does not require the temperature variation compensation associated with most thermal breakers. Measuring 13 mm wide, the QL has a wide range of tripping characteristics to meet a variety of applications. It holds its rated current and trip in accordance with its published tripping curves in temperatures from –40°C to +60°C. The QL is well suited as a replacement for low-current fuses and for a wide range of equipment protection. CIRCUIT BREAKER INDUSTRIES INC., Exton, PA. (610) 524-9949.
